BEHIND THE DESIGN

My background offers a unique perspective—and I believe that’s something worth celebrating. Throughout this website, I’ve woven in visual elements and playful interactions that reflect who I am, not just as a designer but as a person.

For instance, the custom cursor is shaped like a dumpling—it dips into a soy sauce bowl and transforms on hover. You’ll also find hints of sushi and fortune cookies, which react as if they’re being eaten when clicked. These touches aren’t just whimsical; they’re rooted in the East Asian foods I love. They represent a blend of personal tastes that shape my creative identity.

To me, style is more than just aesthetics—it’s how personality takes shape in design. By giving character to every part of the user experience, even the smallest interactions, I aim to craft something personal, distinctive, and memorable.

As you navigate through the site, you’ll notice that each visual element has its own flavour.

The homepage presents your options like a menu—each “dish” represents a creative skill I offer, served with its own unique personality.
Clicking them triggers small interactions that mimic the feeling of picking and tasting something from a plate.

Some foods disappear with a bite. Others react with a subtle motion, inviting you to engage.

These gestures are playful, but also intentional. They bring warmth to the user journey and help communicate that design, like food, is about experience as much as form.

Even the layout follows this idea. It’s structured like a table setting—clean, balanced, and inviting.
White space is used like breathing room between bites, giving each item a chance to stand on its own.

And of course, the cursor travels with you like chopsticks in motion, guiding you from one taste to the next.

Everything you see here is an extension of how I see design:
as something to be enjoyed, explored, and remembered.
